Tampa, Florida - Communications Equity Associates (“CEA”) announced today that John Turner has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Investment Banking Group. In this capacity, John will report to Rick Michaels, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and will be based in Tampa, Florida. John has strategic and operational responsibilities within the Investment Banking Group for business development, resource planning, talent management, and other general management and operating activities.
Prior to joining CEA, John was the founder and CEO of Net Infuse, Inc., a company specializing in management consulting and turnaround management for established middle market companies or divisions with strong value potential. During this period, John served as an interim turnaround manager for a $360M Global 500 North American division increasing revenues by 70% and operating profit by 568% over a three-year period. Prior to Net Infuse, Inc., John was the founder and CEO of Network InfoServe, Inc. Services included strategic technology consulting, software development and systems integration. Global in scope, prominent customers included: General Electric, MCI, Baker & McKenzie, NationsBank, United Guaranty and NationsBanc Services to name a few. Network InfoServe was recognized in the Inc. 500, Technology 500 and the Suncoast Technology 50. Prior to his tenure at Network InfoServe, Inc., John was the co-founder and President of Micro Support Inc. Micro Support, Inc. was recognized in the United States as a leader in the LAN/WAN integration category before being sold.
