Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Ming Jung joined Communications Equity Associates (“CEA”) in March 1997 and is the firm’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. As CEA’s Chief Operating Officer, Ming serves in the capacity of overseeing the firm’s overall day-to-day business operations, which encompass the investment banking, private equity, and merchant banking business units.
Prior to Ming’s appointment as Chief Operating Officer, he held the position of Senior Managing
Director and Chief Financial Officer of CEA Capital Advisors LLC, the development and administration
arm of CEA Private Equity Group. Ming’s function involved the development, financial analysis and
administrative oversight of CEA’s domestic and international private equity funds. His expertise included
the financial management as well as legal, tax and business structuring as it relates to the formation and
ongoing activities of the private equity funds.
Additionally, Ming continues in the prominent role of managing CEA’s Direct Investments and
overseeing the financial reporting and tax for CEA’s equity investment portfolio. These responsibilities
include financial analysis and due diligence of CEA’s new equity investments, reviewing of offering
summaries for potential investments, performance of due diligence, and ongoing monitoring of
investment performance.
Ming began his career with the international accounting firm of Arthur Andersen LLP, as a senior tax
specialist. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American and Florida Institute of
Certified Public Accountants. He graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University with a
Master of Accounting degree with a specialization in taxation and with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Accounting. Ming is a registered representative of FINRA and holds the Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
