Director and Controller, CEA Private Equity Group
Angela Horwitz joined CEA in March 1999 and is the Director and Controller of CEA Capital Advisors, LLC, the development and administration arm of CEA Private Equity Partners.
Angela’s activities include financial reporting and administrative responsibilities with respect to the management of CEA’s domestic and international private equity funds. These responsibilities include tax research and preparation, monthly and yearly financial budget analysis and financial statement preparation as it relates to the formation and ongoing activities of the private equity funds.
Angela has primary responsibility for CEA’s Direct Investments and prepares all the financial and tax reports for CEA’s equity investment portfolio. These responsibilities include financial analysis and due diligence of CEA’s new equity investments, development of offering summaries for potential investments and ongoing monitoring of investment performance.
Prior to joining CEA, Angela was a senior tax specialist at Eckerd Corporation, a subsidiary of J.C. Penney Company, Inc. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Angela graduated from University of South Florida with a Master of Accounting degree with a specialization in taxation and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She also holds her Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
